The New Rules of Communications: Platform. Performance. Policy. In the Age of AI.
The Craft Room is our new learning series for curious minds and evolving practice. For the first edition, Anushree Ghosh, Head of Digital and Performance Marketing at ITC Foods, leads the conversation.
This isn’t a session on prompting, or on making more content with AI. It’s about what happens after you hit publish.
We’ll unpack:
- 1 How platforms are responding to AI-generated and AI-assisted content
- 2 What that means for organic reach and engagement
- 3 How much AI is too much
- 4 The policies communicators need to understand
- 5 What gets seen, what performs, and what audiences trust
Anushree Ghosh is the Head of Digital and Performance Marketing, ITC Foods and has spent years at the intersection of brands, digital platforms and changing consumer behaviour, which makes her just the person to help us unpack these changing rules.

What does it take for a story to be told with care, and still travel far?
It’s a question close to the heart of impact communications: what we choose to tell, whose voice we centre, and where a story needs to go to create change.
For Brave Space in Bengaluru, we’re bringing together two women who have approached these questions from different vantage points.
Priya Thuvassery — Documentary filmmaker and Co-CEO of Chambal Media, home to Khabar Lahariya, India’s pioneering rural feminist newsroom. For over 16 years, Priya has worked alongside women from historically marginalised communities as they build their voices, stories and platforms.
Sahana Jose — Chief Community Officer at Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies and a social change communicator. Sahana works with civil society organisations and a philanthropic foundation to find the messages, stories and mediums that help ideas travel further.
One has built newsrooms and films. The other works across organisations to shape communications for change. We can’t wait to hear where their experiences, questions and ideas meet.
SO FAR
Brave Space #01, New Delhi
Long before Brave Space existed, Meenakshi Gupta — Mini Di to many of us, co-founder of Goonj — believed communicators in the social sector needed a space of their own. On 19 September 2026, she took the First Seat at our first Brave Space in New Delhi.
35 women came, from comunications, storytelling, filmmaking, writing, visual arts, business and social impact. Women at very different stages of their lives and careers, finding common ground.
What stayed with the room:
- The words we use carry power. A conversation about why “Daan Utsav” became “Joy of Giving” — because daan can quietly set up a hierarchy between giver and receiver.
- Own your craft. Stand up for your work, refine it, and make sure you are heard.
Closing line: You can create the room. But the people in it create the community.
